The shimmering portal flickered, spitting you out onto what could only be described as a landscape sculpted from discarded dreams. Crumbled castles made of sugar cubes lined a river flowing with lukewarm regret. The air hummed with a low, unsettling melody played on rusty kazoos. You don't remember who you were. You don't remember where you came from. All you have is a persistent itch on your left shoulder and a half-eaten sandwich inexplicably labeled "Existential Dread on Rye." Welcome to the Land of Forgotten Things, a realm existing between realities, a repository for everything lost, broken, and utterly baffling. Here, you'll encounter sentient socks lamenting their missing partners, philosophy-spouting garden gnomes with crippling self-doubt, and armies of paperclips engaged in a perpetual war over territorial supremacy. Your journey begins at the foot of Mount Maybe, a peak perpetually shrouded in indecision. Rumor has it that at the summit lies the Oracle of Obtuse Answers, a being who might – or might not – hold the key to your lost memories and your purpose in this bizarre world. But beware. The Land of Forgotten Things is not without its dangers. The Weeping Willows whisper temptations of blissful oblivion, the Grumbleworms guard their hoards of misplaced buttons with ferocious tenacity, and the ever-present risk of accidentally tripping over a pile of abandoned New Year's resolutions looms large. To survive, you'll need to scavenge, barter, and learn to navigate the illogical currents of this surreal reality. You'll need to master the art of conversing with inanimate objects, decipher the riddles hidden within discarded fortune cookies, and, perhaps most importantly, learn to embrace the absurdity. So, take a deep breath (if you can even remember how), tighten your shoelaces (assuming you have any), and prepare to embark on a quest into the heart of the forgotten. Good luck. You'll need it. And try not to eat the Existential Dread on Rye all at once. It tends to give you a nasty stomach ache.
